    Solid!

Normally things look smaller online than when they arrive but that is not the case here, this thing is enormous!. It's also easy to assemble (10 minutes, most of it unpacking), extremely well built, and comfortable. The idea of locking castors is good in concept but perhaps only one or two to keep the thing from rolling across the floor - 5 pretty much guarantees at least one is always going to get locked when you are trying to roll. Would buy again but hopefully this stool lasts as long as it feels like it will and I won't need to. Definitely worth the price.

    GREAT SEAT FOR SHORT FOLKS

I GOT THE TRACTOR SEAT 3 DAYS AGO. LOVE THE COMFORT IT GIVES.I DID NOT KNOW THE SEAT WAY PLASTIC.BUT IT IS NICE TO SIT ON. I AM 6'4'', 450 LB. AND I HAVE NOT HAD ANY OF THE ROLLING TROUBLE I READ ABOUT. IT IS ALSO NOT A GAS SHOCK LIKE A PERSON IN FLORIDA SAID. IT IS A SOLID SCREW LIFT. THE WHEEL LOCKS HAVE NEVER TOUCHED MY FEET. LOVE THE SEAT. ONLY ONE REPAIR NEEDED FOR ME ,IS TO PUT A RISER BLOCK BETWEEN THE SEAT AND BASE. THE SEAT AT FULL HEIGHT IS ABOUT 3'' TOO DARN SHORT. SO I NEED TO RAISE IT UP. WHY DOES ALL THE MANUFACTURE'S THINK EVERY ONE IS 5' TALL . I LEFT THAT BEHIND IN GRADE SCHOOL. OTHER WISE GREAT SEAT.

    Needs some revisions...WHEELS

I am very frustrated with this chair. It would be perfect if only they would improve the wheels. They are hard plastic that wear off on my ceramic kitchen floor, leaving black marks everywhere. It is hard to maneuver and takes a lot of effort. I want to replace the casters with soft rubber without those locks, that have cut the back of my ankles and made them bleed. Seriously...but the problem is this is the only choice i could find that would work for me. I wanted something sturdy and comfortable as far as the seat is concerned.I also needed something that could be adjusted height wise. I suffer from severe arthritis in my knees and need something for the kitchen that makes it possible for me to cook, etc. My kitchen has very limited space ..a U shape and this is very large for it..can only go back and forth..it is larger than anticipated. The wheels are the main problem as stated many times by others...

    Pros & Cons

I use this at my desk and have found it to be very comfortable and supportive of my weight (385). It goes together fairly easily although you must push down extremely hard to insert the wheels. And speaking of wheels, that is where this product fails miserably. They are made of cheap plastic and do not roll (on a hardwood floor) easily at all. Top that with the fact that they bang your ankles something fierce. It will take time learning to keep your feet a safe distance away. Finally, the price is quite excessive for the product. That being said, I would still purchase another should the need arise.

    great stool

Great stool but needs better wheels that works better to move in for the rest of the stool. I use it in my kitchen to get around but the wheels drag and not a smooth transfer. Really disappointed with how it had a broken seat but the company was great how they replaced it so fast. Great results.

I use this stool to move around in my kitchen. If I put the seat on the Pneumatic setting that I want, then the seat sinks slowly throughout the day and I have to readjust the height. If I put the seat up higher, when I wake up in the morning the seat has adjusted itself all the way up, which is too high for me. To adjust the seat height you have to twirl the seat, either left or right depending on whether you want it to go up or down. The wheels leave black marks on my kitchen floor. My flooring is Travertine which is a natural stone that belongs to the limestone family. The chair is sturdy, and I have probably been using it about 3 years. I hate the locks, I am constantly having to check to see if any of the locks are down, there is an individual lock for each leg that can really hurt the back of your heels. Sometimes I think the chair is locked because it is hard to move. It does not move freely in all directions. I am very happy with the seat on this chair. This would be an excellent chair,if they would remove the locks, correct the Pneumatic seat, and make the chair move more freely. when in the unlocked position.

Is there a way to remove the locking part on the wheel so it doesn't lock up every time you accidently hit it?

    Anna

Hi Anna, there isn't a way to remove the locking part on the wheels.

Would it be possible to buy Better wheels for this chair? Has anyone tried?

    suchislife32

This item comes with heavy-duty locking wheels. Optional wheels are not offered.

I just replaced the wheels with casters that do not leave marks on tile, or hardwood floors. The wheels that come with it are made for carpet and soft surfaces and leave black marks everywhere and wear down on tile. It was quite difficult to get the casters off but once they came off, replacement was very easy and works great.
