I use this at my computer at home. Sits little higher then my last chair. I have no problem sitting in this chair for few hours at a time. It came to me damaged but LivingXL sent new part that same week. I have rolled it out into the living room few time when we had people over. It's heavy, I did put it together by myself but extra hand would of made it easier. Doesn't like to roll in carpet so putting some kind of pad under it is smart thing to do.

I am 6'4" 400 former football player and needed a big office chair, the chair had a wider seat than I needed but I wanted the screw base with the height. When as tall as I wanted the chair was unstable. After seven months of use the steel split. Pass 90 day warranty, no replacement parts useless.

Comments about Office Star 1,000-lb. Capacity Office Chair with Arms:

Used as a daily office chair for a 500+lb guy. As a smaller person of 5'6 and 200lbs I almost feel like a kid in this chair because of the really wide seat. Definitely a great chair for overweight people or anybody who needs extra butt room. Spent nearly this much money at an in-store office supply store years ago and wasn't even half as good as this chair. Cushion is 4-5 inches thick and I dont see it getting flattened out and being a butt breaker for a very long time. Great buy that any heavy person who sits as a desk needs to have.

Comments about Office Star 1,000-lb. Capacity Office Chair with Arms:

Got this chair to replace a 3-year-old chair when the gas lift failed. Assembly was simple, but the chair weighs almost as much as I do (Not literally, but it is heavy.). I have never ordered a chair without sitting in it first, but I read the reviews and I took the risk on this chair. As soon as the box was delivered, it was evident that the chair was going to be massive. It's huge. I had read the reviews and the one concern I saw was complaints about the casters/wheels. A number of reviewers complained about the casters not working on carpet. I thought those were just random coincidences. They weren't . Everything about the chair worked fine--except the casters. Three of the five casters fail to roll. I've tried them on tile floor as well as low-pile (industry-grade) carpet in my office. It's the most annoying and disappointing aspect of this chair. Thankfully I just switched out the casters from my old chair (since it was going to the trash) so I didn't have to buy new ones. However, it's sad that they can make a chair like this and fail so miserably on the casters.

Built Like A Tank, But Also Sits Like One As Well.

        By FatPhat

        from Northeast, TN

        Pros

        • Sturdy Construction

        Cons

        • Arm adjustment control broke
        • Arm vinyl cracked and fell off.
        • Back won't adjust in enough for average height
        • Doesn't adjust low enough for average height PPL
        • Makes lots of loud pops and creaks
        • No recline means no back support
        • Wheels do not roll easily, especially on carpet

        Best Uses

        • Best if ur tired of breaking cheaper chairs
        • Computer chair of last resort

Comments about Office Star 1,000-lb. Capacity Office Chair with Arms:

This chair was an anger purchase after having several high end chairs fail (typically a leg or hydraulics).
This chair is built like a tank, But unfortunately it sits like one as well.
I am 5' 9" tall and weigh 450+lbs. and this chair shows no sign of being strained by my mass.
However, even with it being set at it's lowest, it is still too high for me to comfortably sit with my feet on the ground. Also, the back is adjustable front to back to adjust available seating area, yet even with the seatback all the way forward, my knees hit the front of the seat before my back makes contact with the seatback, meaning no back support unless I stuff pillows behind my back.
Overall, if you want a chair that will hold up a 500+lb body and that is your main/only requirement, then this chair is right for you.
However, if you are less than 6ft tall and want some measure of comfort, you may want to try another offering.

Comments about Office Star 1,000-lb. Capacity Office Chair with Arms:

Easy to assemble with one person (I just flipped the cardboard box upside down and built it on there - and, I have one hand that's 1/2 numb!)

Very comfy. I'm 525lbs. and most chairs are 400-500. The ones that are the size of my old office chair usually runs $1200 or more for those quality mesh ones that last forever.

I have no doubts this chair will last a long time. It's built good. But being less than 1000lbs, I'm no where close to the back of the chair. Maybe another model with lumbar? I know I can get the lumbar pillows, but it'd be a nice touch.

            Loving my new chair though!

Comments about Office Star 1,000-lb. Capacity Office Chair with Arms:

I am 1/3 the capacity weight of this chair, but have had major spinal issues and finding a comfortable chair is difficult. I have a small studio where I do stained glass and wire wrapped jewelry and this chair is very comfortable. I have a linoleum smooth floor and need to roll between 3 stations. The rollers on this chair are horrible. I can not even roll the 4-5 feet I need to go! I called and spoke to a gentleman at Living XL who said he would send replacement rollers. The replacements arrived, my husband installed them , and there is NO improvement. Now I have to go buy a set of rollers for this chair and have him install them. If you want a large comfortable chair to sit in one place, go for it. Otherwise if you order this chair be prepared to go out and buy other rollers for it.

            Heavy Duty Chair for sure

Comments about Office Star 1,000-lb. Capacity Office Chair with Arms:

I like the chair as to what I really needed. I have had this for about a month. I am 380lb and gas lift chairs hardly will last a year because they are not heavy duty. This type of screw adjustment should last a lot longer. You will be blown away by it's size compared to other chairs, but I fine the extra space is comfortable. Very heavy chair ~ will need 2 people for setup because of the weight of the chair. I would suggest getting the arm rest style. It makes getting up much easier. My only draw back so far is I would like a non-fabric chair either vinyl or leather. The fabric is a hopsack type and will rub your legs. I use a vinyl pillow for more comfort. I would buy this again and do recommend it for people of a larger size.

This is a good, sturdy, chair. No frills, gets the job done. The seat is plenty wide and deep enough to sit comfortably, even for a tall guy. The seat and back cushions are thick and comfortable.Good back support, but there is no give whatsoever, you will not be reclining at all in this chair. Overall, I would definitely recommend it if you are a big guy who is tired of breaking office chairs.

Hi. Thanks for your inquiry. This chair has an easy screw base lift to adjust the height. You simply turn the chair in one direction to raise the height and turn the chair in the other direction to reduce the height. The depth of the seat is 23" and it is not adjustable. The seat width between the arms is 24". The arms are adjustable and removable.
