    Comments about ALPS® Portable Stool:

I am 380 lbs :( and need to loose some 200 lbs.) Living in a beautiful spot on a high hill in PA, Walking is a great exercise for me, but being so large and out of shape I need to stop and rest to go any distance and old logs and rocks are not very comfortable. Although the stool is a bit heavy I take it with me so I can rest up a bit, as the terrain is uneven and up and down with side hills and all. It works great on all different grounds I have had it on and allows me to go a good distance with my dog. Besides the weight, which I understand needs to be to support $400 lbs. the strap is too short to put over my head. That would make the stool easier to carry when hiking about. I have plans to add a section to it so not a big deal.

      Comments about ALPS® Portable Stool:

I weight 285lbs. I know this chair will hold 400lbs easily. I take this product to the river banks and lake shores here in South Texas. The banks are uneven and this devices maintained steady and secured. Very comfortable to sit in. It has its own carrying cast, which makes it easy to carry. I usually carry three fishing rods and reels combo and a tackle box, plus a small cooler. I had no problems transporting all this gear 15 to 25 yards. This device is my go to chair when I go river, lake shores or surf fishing on the beach. Excellent quality product for the money.

I have chronic spine/joint/muscle pain, and cannot stand or walk long without sitting to rest. I bring this stool with me when shopping, so that I can sit every few isles to relax my muscles and rest before continuing, and to sit while waiting in the checkout line. I am 380# with a very wide bottom, but this chair is very sturdy, stable, and comfortable. It is well worth the $ I paid, which is a lot for me. Thank you.

I have used this at the beach, in my garage, and in my home to elevate my legs. I wish it were a few inches taller to make it easier to get out of and allow for sitting w/o my knees being overly bent. Even so I love this - it goes w me whenever I think I'll need a seat. I take to friends houses because most don't have "big boy chairs". No worries about this collapsing on you! This is a well made quality item. I have bought two for myself and one for my brother.

This stool is very sturdy and very well made. 360 lb man can sit on it and it feel very secure to him and not unstable at all! Great chair for carrying while walking at an event or actually anywhere for any distance and use if you just need to sit for a little rest to take the weight off of bad feet! (used at a Golf tournament - worked great) I highly recommend it. Very lightweight and easy to carry! I think we all will be using it. I may have to purchase another. :)

                  Comments about ALPS® Portable Stool:

I bought this stool to use around the house to sit while I did dishes or dried my hair in the bathroom, for example. I have severe arthritis, a herniated disk, bad knees, and am obese. This stool has been a lifesaver in helping to manage life with these issues. I take it with me when travelling via car to use in hotels and outside and recently bought a second one for my sister when she starting having knee trouble.

One caution I would give is that the "screws" in each corner of the stool do loosen over time so that once, the canvas collapsed when I sat down as the "screw" fell out. I now check each corner to make sure they're tight before I sit. But over two years of having and using this stool on a daily basis, that is my only issue.

                    Comments about ALPS® Portable Stool:

This is the best light weight, but sturdy seat you could possibly want. I weigh 400 lbs. and this fits great and definitely holds me without me feeling like it's going to collapse. Very well constructed and easy to carry in the case. Also easy to refold and slide back into the case. I have very bad knees and this portable seat provides me piece of mind knowing I have this backup seat with me in my car should I need an emergency seat while on the road. The height is also good, easy to get up and down from this stool.

I love this chair. Have bought another. BUT despite the 400 lb stated weight, at 320 the chair has dropped me to the ground several times. The button that secures a corner breaks free from its attaching device.
