These are the only cargo pants that are long enough and have good-sized cargo pockets. The handy, smaller pocket on the left cargo pocket should be duplicated on the right side too. I also wish the open, front pockets were a little larger. The real problems with these pants is that buttons are used instead of Velcro (hook & loop), because if you want to get into your cargo pockets fast, you won't with buttons. Note that the Wrangler brand of cargo shorts and pants both come with hook and loop closures and longer zippers. My good wife spent some hours removing the buttons, sewing up the button holes and sewing on strips of Velcro. She made the pocket closure better than a manufacturer would do: On the large cargo pockets, she sewed on a 7 ½" inch/19 cm long X ¾"/2 cm wide strip of tan Velcro on my Khaki colored cargo pockets. When flying in an airliner or in a rental car, items in pocket won't fall out. And, I can quickly get into and close the pockets. On the smaller, left side, flat pocket attached to the cargo pocket, she sewed on a 5"/13 cm strip of Velcro.

Another improvement wanted is either a 60/40 blend of polyester and cotton, so I wouldn't have to iron them as much. But, I'd rather have a "no-iron" improvement with a built-in crease (front & back) and a metal, slide type attachment, instead of the button in front. Make them Chino cargo pants (and shorts). While you're at it, please lengthen the zipper by an inch or 1½." It's too short for tall guys (one can get pinched, to put it mildly). And, add one more belt loop near the front. As it is, the belt can slip upwards, when sitting. A charcoal-gray color (instead of black) would be appreciated. It's better for business. The lighter gray, olive and brown go more for casual use.

By the way, over 60 national and international companies have used my ideas. And, you're getting them free!

At first these pants fit great, but then after a wash I noticed that they had shrunk considerably in length. Now I am stuck with "Highwaters". I tried to return them to DXL and was not treated very well. After being grilled about the use of the pants which I probably wore 3 times, they said there wasn't much they could do. I had bought 2 pairs of the same brand of pants. The salesman at the store was completely unsympathetic and said they could let them out as much as possible. I asked if there would be a crease from the original bottom and they said yes. they would not exchange them for another pair, so I agreed, then they told me I would have to pay for it. I left the store completely unhappy and they did nothing to fix my situation.

Very unhappy customer with DXL now.

    Nice pants

Comments about True Nation® Bellowed Cargo Pants:

Pants fit true to size but the only one thing I don't like it's missing belt loops near the front button. With the loops there keeps you belt and pants looking good in the front if you have to put your shirt tail in.

Not for work or heavy use; casual use only. They are lightweight, comfortable and well-designed. The only drawback is that they are not as "rugged" as traditional cargo pants.

    • Q:

If I have a 48inch waist, what is my inseam size?
Asked on 10/2/2017 by Kyle from Vancouver

      1 answer

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

To find your inseam size, we recommend checking a favorite pair of pants. If the inseam is not written on the label, you can measure the inseam with a tape measure. Start at the area in the center where the two legs meet and measure one leg all the way to the end of the hem. This is the inseam.

I see where to choose the waist size but not the length. Is inseam considered to be length? If not how do I choose the length size?

        A:

We apologize for the inconvenience. Yes the inseam is the length.

Answered on 12/2/2013 by Customer Service from DXL
      • A:

Yes the inseam is the length. Inseam is short for "Inside Seam". This is the length measured from the crotch to where the pant ends. If you measure from the outside (waist to the end of the pant) you will wind up with pants that are way too long.

Answered on 12/14/2013 by Robertbb99 from Van Nuys, CA
      • A:

Yes the inseam is the inside inseam from the crotch to the ground. I find it annoying that companies don't do an inside inseam length and a full length pant length. twice now from different companies I have brought pants with a 36" inside inseam and they are to short because the length between the crotch and the waist is to small (and really uncomfortable, lol).

So If ordering these and you are 36" i would go for the
38" as you can always get hemmed, or send an email to company requesting full length of pants. I'm thinking of doing that as I want to buy a pair, just wished they came in actual camo colour!!

        hope that helped
